If it’s cold where you are, think warm thoughts.

Most of the cars on the beach are other than brand new. Not this guy. He’s got the new ‘57 Sunliner and it’s going ON THE BEACH, DAMMIT. Kind of the convertible-owners’ version of getting a grill and throwing backyard barbecues every two weeks to convince yourself it’s the best choice.

But I want it to be cold. Not having a white Christmas sucks.

That’s an awesome picture. Since I generally only frequent Jersey beaches (since I live here), I can’t tell you the last time I’ve seen a car on the beach that didn’t belong to the beach patrol.

That’s one part of Houston I don’t miss.

Now that I live so far south that it rarely snows, I really miss having snow. I thought about moving north, but I don’t want to deal with salt-induced rust. That and the wife who refuses to move any further north because of the cold.

It’s going to be around 70° in NYC on Christmas Eve.
The world really is ending.

Yeah it’s gonna be a hard winter if we don’t start getting some snow. Our state economy is fairly dependent on it. Skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, etc.

El Niño is kind of a bust for us. They were predicting a “Monster El Niño,” and we did get all that flooding back in October, but no much since then. Weather’s crazy all over.

I was waxing nostalgic yesterday with somebody about white Christmases. We both agreed that we only miss them because we don’t have them. I think I’d get sick of snow pretty quickly.

I get a kick out of snow, but you are probably right. I know my kids don’t have good memories of it. The one time it snowed since I have been in Louisiana, my daughter ignored my instructions and didn’t put on two pairs of socks before donning her rubber boots. Then she ignored my instructions about warming up her numb feet. After an hour of pain and suffering, she decided snow is for the birds. She refused to go back outside for the rest of the day.
