Was aware that these were fast, but I wasn’t ready for exactly how fast. Yet when we hit traffic, it was like I was in just a regular non-exciting car. I’m amazed.

I think if I were to own only one car, a WRX would be it.

Haven’t been in a new one, but I was always amazed how quick my fxt was

I have a ‘16 STI and now that I have over 1500 miles on it, I have been getting a bit more aggressive driving it and yeah, it can be very mild-mannered, but when you open it up, it screams.
The difference in the dynamics of the car from ‘I’ Drive and the center diff on Auto versus Sport-Sharp and the center diff maxed out is unbelievable. Its like driving 2 different cars.

Based on my 35 minute passenger seat experience, it would be a very good only car. In fact, that WRX is the owner’s only car.

This one was a 2016 WRX. I was expecting it to be fast... But how fast it actually was... I was shocked.

gearing and mad midrange torque.

I really look forward to the comparisons to the Focus RS.

The one I rode in was a 16 WRX, but I was absolutely amazed. I think it was a combination of factors. It’s the first car I’ve been it that’s actually supposed to be for driving quickly, first forced induction car, and first car with 4 driven wheels. But then you’re doing 70 on the highway, getting great mileage, and it’s perfectly comfortable.

I have never been in a car that moves nearly that fast. And we may or may not have done a good launch in it. But if we did, I can assure you it was fast.

I think it would be good.

I’m scared of driving a new STI.. I'm worried I'll end up buying one lol.

I think that’s why I am having such a hard time getting another car. That WRX spoiled me. Family and whatnot has had us get a minivan and not a budget for that WRX

no wheel spin, no torque steer, just all go - intoxicating

If I had one, I imagine that I would have a hard time choosing a next car as well.

I know. It was so good.

my old talon awd was tame compared to most and I ate WRX and STI's for lunch and dinner

I don't know anyone with a DSM.

I've never seen a DSM in town that's in good condition.

yea they are known to rust easily. My buddies is a sleeper. bent up quarter panel and little bit of rust but its just been rebuild and should push 500+ hp to the wheels on e85

Spoiled? Nah.... Ruined is the right word.
Now that I’ve had mine for a while, driving everything else is so.... pedestrian. I’m not sure that I will be able to go back to a slow daily driver.

That’s why I s looking at the old land cruisers. They are so slow it didn’t matter any more

I hear you. Treating my wife’s Explorer like the WRX just isn’t the same. The right pedal only makes thing louder, not faster, and when it finally gets to speed, it feels like driving a giant weeble-wobble.
My wife doesn’t seem to appreciate it either.

Yea if I went a long time without driving my wife’s escape I would try to who around corners like it was the WRX.
