Given I’m reading the blurry terribleness that is the first photo I ever took of the gauge cluster the day we looked at the M3, Today I passed the 10,000 mile mark! Not bad for 9 months of driving from a high school student with summer break thrown in there.
The car sure does look different from mile 1 to mile 10,000 though.
The day after it was brought home:
Just last week while I was double checking we got my sway bar links tight:
I’ll save a big photo dump for February when I’ve had the car a year (hopefully featuring new, not ugly headlights.) For now I will say this: Here’s to many more (pretty trouble-free) miles!

Impressive. I hit 20,000 miles on the E34 a month or so ago.
Those ‘mods’ from the PO that you fixed were a travesty. Good work.

Congrats!
Was ready to give you hell for having those eBay headlights on there still, but you say you’re remedying that soon. Good.

I still have nightmares about removing the too-thin plastidip from between the spokes on the wheels with an old tooth brush.

Don’t worry, I hate them just as much as everyone else. And they let out so little light I have no idea how they’re DOT approved.

Are they though, or did whoever manufacture them just stamp them DOT approved?

Given their country of origin, it’s entirely possible.
