is this a 993 turbo targa?
i thought they had already moved to the not-a-targa-just-a-giant-sliding-sunroof by the time the 993 came around.

Haha. I think these were actually just brand new seats, so they left the plastic on. This car was just restored.

I believe so! It's awesome.

It's a standard carrera with a turbo tail. They did make a 993 targa, there just aren't very many of them.

It’s probably so the mechanics can get in the car without smearing oil on the seat.

British Racing Green is a FANTASTIC color on old Porsches.

ok... looking at the red car. is that a 993 or 964?
i’m not such an expert on the tail lights. but if you look at the rear winshield, it looks like a true targa. not the quasi-targa that came on the 993 targas.
standard carreras (and 993 targas) have “c pillars” or whatever. not that wrap-around glass.
i guess this could be a 964, but the rear bumper looks a bit modern.

The red car is a 993 Carrera targa with a turbo tail. The white car is a Carrera 3.2 targa with a turbo tail. Inside the shop, he also had a 1976 930 turbo with a 993 body conversion. It’s ridiculous.

ok... so about that red 993 carrera targa...
look at the rear glass.
then look at the rear glass on all of these 993 carerra targas.
see what i’m saying?
the tail light assemblies and bumper look like 993, but the rear glass is no 993 targa.
considering what you say about the 1976 body swap, i suppose he may have swapped 993 bumpers onto a previous generation.

You’re right. It's probably a 964 with 993 tails/bumpers.
