Just picked up a promaster. The good its huge the bad its huge... Its a 136” wheelbase (213” total length), wide as hell, tall model. The rear is divided into two areas the first is sort of like a work shop and the far rear is heavy duty storage. Cant wait to get it all set up to work out of. Any other promasterers out here in oppo land? I’ll post picks soon.

I can’t pull the trigger on one. I wish they weren’t quite as tall as they are. I ended up snagging a new Chevy Express last weekend instead because at least those can go thru a regular gas station car wash.

Ooooh, a Ducato! Almost a Ducati if you think about it.

Did you get the diesel?

They get a 3.0 diesel as an option. Automatic box as standard of course!

Very nice! I’m a FIAT fan, so I’m glad to see the Ducato here in RAM form! The new Transit seems to get most of the love around my neck of the woods in Canada though...

Any reason why you chose this over the Ford Transit?

But only by 6 inches.
Seriously, I would have been happy to get a ProMaster but if I can’t keep them clean with minimal effort it’s hard to justify.

Yeah I know that :)
I was just asking the OP if his particular van was outfitted with the diesel

I really like the concept of the Promaster. It seems like a decent value and the different configurations available make it look like a good choice for many trades. Four things I like are the capacity, Diesel power available, low and flat load floor and it has towing ability. Although it isn’t in my budget in the near future, it would be a great vehicle for our little resale business.

Out of curiosity, why the Express over the Transit (low-roof transit is basically the exact same height)?

I have a lot of experience with the Express, and I know they can go 300k plus miles. I considered a Transit, and may still get one later on, but I got a good deal on this one.
