I’m trying to find pictures and descriptions of a toy I remember from the late ‘70s. It was aimed at younger kids, and was kind of a flight simulator, kinda sorta. As I recall, it was called ‘Jet Pilot’, but I can’t find anything by that name.I thought it was made by Tomy, but maybe not.
Description: There was a motorized drum on which you placed a sheet that contained cartoon-like landscape and airport images; I believe that four were included. There was a light in the center of the drum that you moved in and out and side to side with a joystick at the front of the unit. This image was projected onto a matte screen in front of you, and moving the light gave the impression of changes in altitude and heading.
The unit was mostly white, with a black frame around the display area; this was the panel you popped off to change the image sheets. The joystick handle was orange, as was the throttle; those two controls were about 2-3 inches high.
Does anyone know what I’m talking about? Any links? Pics?

Sort of, yeah. It appears to be using similar technology to the item I’m thinking of, but your example is much busier (colors, gauges, controls) than the one I’m thinking of.

I didn’t think to look at Youtube. Lots of interesting stuff there, but still not what I’m looking for. The item in question displayed the scenery and airports in the center screen, and since it was more about civilian flight there weren’t any weapons.
