The Mirage really is quite an interesting little car. I think it might be the only < 2,000 lb car on sale in North America.

I want to use the engine in a Locost (Lotus super 7 style kit car). I have no idea what rear-wheel drive transmissions could hook up to the block, though. It really does seem like a decent little engine - it even has variable valve timing, from what I read.

A car that size doesn’t really need a lot of power to be fun. In fact, I’d say too much power would ruin it. I think the hard part would be finding a transmission that would be compatible with it.
