“I got my van stuck a mile deep in the Bonneville salt flats in the middle of the night. It cost $600 to tow it out, but this pic was worth it.”

The number of people passing through on I80 who thought “The salt flats! I have to drive on them” and then immediately regret that decisions is as numerous as the grains of salt they are mired in.

I can only imagine what the car washes closest to the salt flats have to put up with from everyone trying to flush out the holed-out rockers of their 240SX after a “top speed run bro.”

Well, if in trying to sell it as non-rusty he uses the phrase “never driven in salt”, he will be a truly legendary liar. Also, there’s an LT AWD Astro for sale on my local CL for $500 with a blown trans, for reference. Getting it hauled out cost this guy... let’s just say a substantial portion of what it’s worth.

I worked at multiple Supersoincs and Bischoffs during the summer breaks when I was living there. I’ve hosed off some nasty salt caked rigs.

At speed weeks there is a guy with a pressure washer and a tanker truck. He makes a killing at 10 bucks a car.
