The Genesis G90 (EQ900) is exactly what we should have expected, a Kia Quoris (K900) but made to be nicer. Now I’m very curious how this Genesis brand will perform.

Standard 8-speed auto and H-TRAC AWD

3.8l V6 making 335hp and 292lb-ft

3.3l twin-turbo V6 making 370hp and 376lb-ft

5.0l V8 making 425hp and 383lb-ft

I’m not 100% on the numbers since everyone is publishing an obvious typo right now.

You mean it’s just a nicer Equus, since the K900 uses the same platform as the Hyundai.

I like that 3.3 TT V6. Stick that in a coupe and I might buy a Hyundai again.

It’s all going to come down to marketing. They need unique storefronts offering a strong dealership experience and a great marketing campaign.

Best stick that into the Genisis Sportlimousine , too. The only option in Euroland is the 3.8 V6 also offered in the Genesis Coupe. While arguably enough to move the car, it doesn’t quite have what it takes to stand up to the respective competition. It also needs that V6 Diesel, like, badly .

This post seems like an ideal candidate for a “fiddled with Genesis” picture dump, thank you! The world shan’t go unknowing about the existence of a 558 hp S/C V8 Genesis with go-faster bits and partially questionable cosmetic enhancements.
