The next time I change a thermostat on a fuel injected 302 to just pull the water pump. It would have been much faster....

I really haven’t been to any car related event in a good while. My Mustang is in the garage and has seen pavement maybe 3 times since July. The Cougar was down for most of the summer, and the Lincoln, while running perfectly looks like a hooptie from the nether regions of Newark. It needs paint and some new wheels desperately. That and I got back to playing Handball this summer. I actually might hit Captree this Sunday for the first time in months.

I know what you mean.

I had to get to my thermostat recently, but it has a different water pump/timing cover than the Fox bodies. No interference with the t-stat housing bolts. Unfortunately, my water pump failed, so it’s coming out soon anyway. Can’t avoid it.
