Im not sure if the G4 edition is as big a selling point as they think. Sure its interesting but its not a camel trophy truck (The series took a dive with the G4 series) and its only kinda interesting to collectors and such. Still, its a pretty clean Disco. 20 grand clean? nah.

That is one fine Disco as it stands let alone a special edition

Other than the paint what makes this any different than a regular disco II?

A quick poll of my local craigslist shows prices from $3,000 to $7,000 for pretty much the same thing minus the orange paint.

Mechanically? Nothing.

I’m going to have to go with CP, it doesn’t even have the full G4 kit.
It’s a really nice looking Disco though, but not a $20k Disco.

So then what makes this work 10 grand more than a regular old disco?

That’s fantastic

Nothing really, now if it was a fully kitted out G4. I’d be more willing to part with my money for it.
Land Rover does this every once in a while, the release a special Edition of a vehicle with a few extra bits and bobs and charge a couple of grand more for it.
Another example would be a Great Divide Edition Range Rover Classic (they were standard Range Rovers with a few cosmetic changes, all aluminium bumper ect...)
They’re valuable to Land Rover nuts who can then show them off to their fellow nuts.

I think I know that guy, I’ve seen him around Rovers On the Rocks.

electric clutch fan, overheats when the rig is parked and not running

I don’t remeber him having any over heating issues the couple of times I wheeled with that truck, then again I could be thinking of another Green D1. I need to stop drinking so much on these outings...

Would rather a camel trophy version. That price is nuts.

Depending on your want value, I agree, price is 8-10K too high. Better off finding a clean LR3 or a higher mileage LR4 IF you were in that price range. Otherwise, spend less, get a 02-04 and wheel the snot out of it leaving money in the piggy bank.
Me, I like occasionally driving Discos and LR’s that belong to other people who do the maintenance, and wheeling and DD’ing my TLC.

Excellent color choice, I wholeheartedly approve, believe me, despite my snide remarks made in good humor!
