For sure. Shame it’s not either a stick or 4wd, it would have definitely be worth the drive back from the Carolinas knowing it is probably a well cared for example. And not just any old man, mind you, an old man who happens to have great taste in track suits, and who also is a doctor!

I think you buried the lede here a little bit. This CL ad is clearly satire. Everything from the emphatic statements of how “RARE!” it is, to the owner posting multiple photos a la traditional CL car listing with “car girls” in the shots.

It’s really hilarious and disturbing how well it works. As to why, (A) he’s got a face that while distinctly a guy is close enough to the right shape for popular beauty standards of the time, (B) there are a huge number of pictures of him with genial, warm smiles/etc. - expressions that transplant well to the “playful” 50s poses, (C) it takes the popular-for-guys RDJ “man-crush” and twists it straight into the uncomfortable, and (D) beards as seen in a lot of them are just funny.

Because that makes it better? She’s still his daughter, and he’s still sexualizing her. Even if they’re not related by blood, it’s still pretty disgusting. He is a father figure in her life; his responsibilities include caring for her and loving her like one of his own children, not as someone he’d potentially fuck.
