What series am I going to run next?

Alrighty, folks. Classic Roadsters is wrapping up, Grand-Am wrapped up a couple months ago, I’m ready to run an new series soon. If you’ve seen the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , you know there’s plenty to go around, but I can only choose so many. I’ve narrowed it down to three choices for this round, but I will be cycling through more. This series will also be shorter so I can get to running more series in the future.

By now we’ve all probably had time to build up funds in Forza, but these three are all cheaper to run than the Roadsters series, so you shouldn’t need to worry about that. I made some rough drafts for each option. Your choices this time around are:

10/10 am a fan of a 2 person team. Have you considered doing this with the DTM series? My vote is currently split between DTM (becuase of the cars) and xTCC becuase of the team aspect.

I love the team idea, I’m assuming we can pick our team if we so choose? I think that would be a ton of fun to do with that setup though considering each two person team would have the same cars.

I’m all for classic DTM, because as a slow driver I don’t want to hold back a team mate from winning a series.

I feel like it could be done as F1 is, where you have the drivers championship and the constructors (team for us) championship so that the individual driver could get recognized but there would still be the team aspect and it would be a different way of doing things.

Definitely in for the classic DTM, individuals or two person team based. Just ran Nordschleife on a 3.0 CSL and actually did alright, for me at least... haha

I haven’t figured that out how teams are going to be organized. Last time I was in something tried like this, the roster was split up between known good drivers and the rest. I’m a little fuzzy on the details but either it was randomly assigned, or the rest got to pick from one of the top drivers.

Either way, it was designed so one team wouldn’t be all good drivers and OP. But, I guess I could also let the honors system work things out and let people choose their own teams.

The others will be exclusively F6. But there are other series up for vote in the future that could be on FH2 also.

We don’t have an offical club/group on F6 since clubs got removed in Forza 6, but in Forza 4 we were “Club Opponauts”. I think it still exists in FH2, though.

Run winners BoP if you have too dominant of a team? Only for extreme cases if a pairing was going 1-2 every race and running away from the field? And not too harsh but a 5 pi lower maximum or something like that?

offroader suv would be interesting/very fun in FH2, no idea how we would do the BOP though as there can be so many different routes to take offroad so unlikely to get the same result

Offroader isn’t a BOP series, though. It’s a spec series set at A700 (A800 for FH2).

The trophy truck isn’t on the list, though.

I wish I could think of a more descriptive name for the series that reflects the list that isn’t a misnomer and at the same time doesn’t sound like crap. “Offroad Jeeplike” sounds dumb. “Offroad Military” isn’t true. (since when was the Bronco used in the military?) “Offroad Short Wheelbase” isn’t exactly true (H1 and LM002 are kinda longer than the rest. “Offroaders” is way too encompassing (no rally fighters here, sadly. Or Dom’s offroading challenger. Or Ford Raptor. Or Trophy Truck.) “Offroader SUVs” feels like the best fit, but I also worry that this gives people the impression they can bring along their Porsche Macan/Lamorghini Urus/Audi Q7/whatever.

*sigh* I can’t win.

I was looking back over the doc on the team xTCC cars and was wondering, why not add the ring to the list? They do race there and as of now there are only 5 rounds and I can’t imagine a 6th would hurt.

I’ll give it some thought. Nurburgring is a little tough to organize around sometimes. On the other hand, the Touring Car Series is spec and not BoP, so I wouldn’t be worrying about matching times.

If I do end up adding it, I’ll probably be nixxing Hockenheim. I was trying to have each track be from a different nation.

Also, I completely didn’t realize I had just five chosen compared to the other two’s six.

This is all still a work in progress! :P

That’s fair then. I actually do like Hockenheim as a choice over the Ring. Does xTCC ever run on street courses? Having done a race in the A45 at Rio Full last night, it was quite the good track for it.
