Why wasn’t this for sale back in may when we bought the Explorer. I could have totally convinced my wife for this

It has the 5.3 Vortec and Allison transmission pulled out of an Avalanche and I so desperately want it.

Well the last time I remember them having a restored wagoneer it went for around 11 but that had a Hemi Swap in it. I could see this going between 10-13k. I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on it though

None that I can think of considering it now has twice the amount of power thend when it left the factory and now it’s more reliable and cheaper to fix than stock internals. It would make a great daily rig. Mud tires might be a little loud on pavement but that’s not a big deal. You thinking of putting a bid in?

A. It says 4L60E transmission in the ad, so boooooooo. WORLD’S WORST TRANSMISSION- if stock it will fail.

B. There is/was not an Allison transfer case available on the Avalanche(nor do they exist AFAIK), nor was there even an Allison transmission available on them, because they don’t fit. Whoever wrote the ad is full of shit. From what I can find it would have been a New Process 263 transfer case.

Good points. Looking at the interior, it doesn’t have the range select out of an 05 Avalanche either. Seller hasn’t answered questions on it either.
