Very cool.
How else are you going to get people to come to Iceland? Offer cars that suit the climate and terrain.
From a PR angle, they really need to change the name of their country.

We flew Icelandic Air to London back in 2000, and they were running Arctic Truck ads on the flight. I could not wait to get home to find out more about these things.

Wait till you see the prices....crazy indeed.
I was there in 2012 and hired the smallest and cheapest car I could find. Hyundai i10, €500 for a week.

Not necessarily. When I was there I took a 4wd bus trip across country (on a kind of road, you’re not allowed drive off road) and we encountered a convoy of Citroen 2CVs trundling along happily on what is supposed to be a 4wd only road.
