I know that MPG struggle. I’ve gotten about 16mpg on average since I got the VR4. 14.3 on one tank, and 18.1 on the next.

Why did I sell it? It had sat for a year or so, so I got a few nice drives in it, and sold it before things inevitably started breaking on it. Plus, the Explorer’s engine disintegrating prompted my looking for a new daily, and my parents refused to let me undercoat the 6’er and slap blizzaks on it, they claimed it was “unreasonable” :(

in 9 tanks of ownership, I’ve never gotten above 12, worst was 7 (before fuel system cleaner, and diff fluids replaced)
