A piece of plastic shattered so the thingamajig was touching the fuse doohickey that goes in the charger and shorting out the whole thing. So I took a glue stick and a piece of cardboard and now I can record videos again!
And to think a normal person would have given up and bought a new $50 dashcam.
Heads-up to all Black Box G1W owners! Do not twist your charger in its socket. The plastic inside is very brittle, apparently, and you might end up with the same problem I had.

Does it have an enormous aircraft-style flip-up toggle switch to turn it on? Please tell me it does.
