Hope the franchise can survive year-over-year installments until the end of time. Not being able to see it whenever we wanted to is part of what made us care about Star Wars. It’s what makes a new release such a special event. that’s not a shareholder friendly business model, though.
Here’s hoping they don’t run it into the ground, and then run it + the ground into the new Death Star...

It did... as books.
I’m afraid that the series is going to go down the route that the EU did, ultimately lose the interest of most viewers, devolving into direct-to-TV movies sometime around Star Wars 13.
