What the vehicles handle significantly better than expected?
My vote; 06+ Toyota Tacomas
As opposed to many cars, In realworld conditions they handle fast ‘n flat.....sports car fast. (There is a long explaination on how I know this)

My dad had a lifted TJ that was truly terrifying in the corners. My dad would take it through a set of 90 degree S curves near my house at 45 with the doors off. It cornered as flat as his ‘Vette because when the previous owner spec’d the lift kit they went with the highest spring rate they could get... which meant the suspension was really stiff.

Eh they are ok, think a ridgeline is a bit more nimbler (though its based on a minivan).
I wouldnt say these can handle but they are surprisingly agile. They can turn on a dime and so easy to drive. Buddy has one with 200k+ and all original drivetrain

Honda Pilot (atleast the first gens). Decently fast cars in corners, if only they didn't go through brakes so much.

Most modern full size sedans handle better than the midsizers. Azera, Cadenza, Impala, Avalon, and especially the Buick LaCrosse. It’s sad the segment is dying right when it gets great.

Pretty much any newer dually. Because of their stiff suspension there is nearly no body roll, and they have tons of grip. But I totally agree on the Taco. A lot of old Toyota SUVs and trucks are more fun to drive than they should be.

My Roadmaster handles a lot better than I thought it would.
I mean, it’s still a boat with plenty of lean, but it pretty well does what I want it to do, when I want it to do it without drama.

2013 Ford Expedition, I would autocross it if they’d let me.

My girlfriend’s Lancer coupe. It’s a coupe body, but underneath it’s really a cheap economy car. But it weighs like 850kg, so it seems like every time I throw it into a corner at speed it just laughs at me and feels like I could’ve gone faster. The faster I go, the harder it laughs. It just laps it up.
Part of it is probably the 1.5l engine, it doesn’t really have enough power to exit a corner at speed so it’s all about entry. But even so, I feel like it’s doing things it shouldn’t be able to do.
