While in a white work truck no one ever suspects a thing, wherever you are parked, unless they are already paranoid. Ours aren’t even marked, and still almost no one ever questions us.
Also, Duramax’s suck at pulling heavy stuff. Ours (3500) was completely out of strength at 6 tons.

Ah, going up a hill, I see... (I tow my track car with a Duramax)
They will tow stuff, just not very fast. They have decent interiors, although I may need WhiteTrashSteve to reupholster the thing if I want to keep it.

Strange, it seems to tow our trailer pretty well...

This is an LMM, but foot the floor it struggles to hit 65 on flat ground. I’ve heard others say the same thing. Compared to our Cummins it’s a dog.

This thing is a dog compared to our Cummins while towing, which is strange because unloaded it’s pretty damn quick.

Do you know which RPO you have in it? Some of the emissions laden ones can be dogs at times with the regen cycles.
I’ve never had any complaints with my LLY, even with now 311K miles on the clock (I bought it at 306K).

It’s an emissions equipped one. Most of the complaints I’ve heard were about LMM/LML trucks. If it were up to me, I would just use our Cummins to pull the trailer. That’s what I’d buy, unless I just got a really good deal on a used Duramax.

Hooray for not having emissions choked trucks! And shock of all shocks, mine is completely stock .
Although I may have to fix the turbo mouthpiece as that is a known issue. And I’m very glad that I don’t have an overheater LLY (that needs an auxiliary radiator).
I may just end up driving that and sell the Mini. It does fit in the parking garage at work...
Barely.

Strange... Ours has never felt slow when towing, and we’ve been up and down some pretty steep grades.

It probably has a clogged DPF or some pointless shit like that, but even then, the Cummins is equally poorly maintained and it pulls strong with a load. This thing made the 4Runner feel fast when I got back in it.

I actually want a diesel someday, not because I need one, but because I want one. But it won’t remain stock, because reasons.

Yeah, GMs emissions systems has had some issues annoyingly. Still seems sorta strange. Unless there’s something else screwed up.

It probably is, but still, the Dodge is just a better place to be on a long haul. At least our Dodge at work is. It has waaaaaay more room, is more comfortable, has a tank nearly double in size, has better speakers, and feels stronger.
