Technically, it’s also the fastest Aston and has the loudest exhaust.

Some guy the other day bought one for his 16 year old son. The damn wiener kid didn’t even care. Not even a thank you to his dad.

I can’t decide which I like more, the Aston, or the new XC-90.

I honestly is a tough choice. XC90 is a first edition.

Great comparison here. Love the evolution of the vertical taillamps over the years.

The one with the natural wood is fantastic. When I was at Volvo, we got an Inscription and a cheaper, more basic model. Even the basic was freaking great.

Using a brush on a car, but not just any colour car but a black car which shows swirls and marring the most and on a large Volvo which has large almost flat panels.

I don’t think they could of chose a worse car to use a brush on. Doh.

Just a quick wash, not a detail service. Still way a away better than what it looked like. New cars don’t get swirly until a good bunch of washes. Evan then, we’ve never has customers complain.

To be fair the vast majority of people don’t see swirls and only see a clean car. I’ve been to car shows where the owner has turned up for a ‘show and shine’ when I can see swirls, marring, spiders legs, etc... from ten feet away. When a car is PDI’d it gets a filler polish on anyway. But most swirls are inflicted in the washing a drying stages (marring is usually down to brushes or a dirty wash media) hence using pre-washes and snow foams to soften and lift as much dirt as possible before physically touching the car with a wool wash pad/mitt or microfibre pad/mitt and drying by using an absorbent microfibre or waffle weave towel.

Even the softest brushes can scratch as they trap dirt at the end of the bristles and move across the paint surface like grit.

It takes me two to three times to set up for a maintenance wash than it does to do the wash to keep any harm to the smallest possible.

Lol i use the same brush for the wheels as the car. I suck at washing hardcore. I’ve never even heard of snow foams. Not even on our Maybach and Astons. We wash them with a hand rag and a regular old ass shammy

Lol. I don’t even use the same bucket. I’ve two white buckets (‘wash’ and ‘rinse’) for washing the car and a third (black bucket) for washing the wheels.

Snow foams and citrus pre-washes are great for lifting as much dirt as possible. Think of it as leaving the dishes in the kitchen sink to soak for a while before washing.

Washing itself is with a microfibre noodle mitt in a two bucket wash, then rinse, then either use a drying aid if it’s a maintenance wash or my Diamond Sandwich microfibre drying towel to dry and then apply the sealant, buff, inspect, buff again where necessary then dress the tyres and door seals, etc...

To many what I and some others do is seen as craziness and over the top but it’s no different to any other hobby.

It really does but I have to admit I enjoy looking at everyones faces as I foam the car, it’s always the look of ‘WTF is that guy doing’. :)
