It’s in better shape than I expected. It has brand new tires all around and it came with a front blade. He traded a Yamaha Grizzly 600 for it even trade. He paid I think $1200 bucks for the quad 3 years ago so I say 100% nice price.
For those who don’t know what you are looking at. This is a 1943 Ford 2N Tractor with a Flathead 4cyl.
He plans to repaint it with the same original colors. It will be a mighty fine machine once it’s cleaned up.
My little nephew Carter is pretty excited about the new toy.

I’m very jealous. I’d pay $1200 bucks for that.
In Alberta the closest I found to it was $2700 bucks.

As long as you can get spare parts, which you probably won’t need that often, that thing will probably run until the end of time.

Where else can you buy any vehicle from 1943 for $1200? Can't do it.

Exactly! A running vehicle at that.

Parts are surprisingly not that difficult to get.

My uncle had one of those he inherited from my grandfather. As far as I could tell, it NEVER broke down and didn’t really require a lot to maintain it. My uncle didn’t baby it either.

Dammit! Add another thing to the NEEEEEEEEED list :)
I couldn’t get $1200 out fast enough to buy that.

Old Fords are pretty cool. My uncle has a 1950 8N that we have used and abused for years, and all it’s ever done is ask for more. Parts are usually not too hard to find and they are dead simple so they can run forever.
