I was under the impression sending a fellow driver off track was illegal and Hamilton did just that. I could be wrong but I thought that was a rule.

The driver who is on the inside and ahead, as Hamilton was, can use as much or as little of the track as he wants. Hamilton didn’t have to leave room for Rosberg there and can push Nico wide if he chooses to stay there, as he did. It’s a ruthless move but that’s what you have to do to get ahead. I’m not a fan of Lewis but this shows the tenacity that Hamilton has and Rosberg lacks.

Well, this account is purely F1. It’s not like the regular ESPN reporters trying to wrap their heads around motorsport. The articles aren’t usually super-insightful but they aren’t a bad account to follow for news.
