Here’s a testament to how stout the gear on the FJ is. Back in 2011 at Oshkosh, an Alabama ANG F-16 had a runway overrun which caused it to end up looking like this:
A few days later a privately-owned FJ-4 overran the same runway and it didn’t even faze it. The pilot just steered it on to a neighboring taxiway and went about his business.
Granted, the FJ is quite a bit lighter than the Viper and was traveling slower speed, but still.

The strength to weight sounds better on the FJ-4, but I think that’s probably more weight than strength.
