House priorities trump all. We’re having our huge terrifying mostly-dead birch tree removed next Sunday (something I’ve been trying to schedule since we moved), and we’re doing a minor appliance remodel, including a new hot water tank, also moved to a different location in the house. That wipes out the Zoidberg’s-next-car budget.
All is well, though. With my upcoming holiday bonus and the sale of my wife’s Sable, along with us making some decent monies, I feel as though I will be fully replenished in the blink of an eye.

Sure does! In reality these costs are positive things — but I was about to look at a Camry coupe today, but I get a call from the tree guy and my contractor within an hour each other for scheduling. And the water bill came today, and Christmas shopping is approaching, and I’m about to go out with some friends and spend money on beer and food UGH! The woes of life! :)

It might end up being a good thing. It will give you more time to think about what you want.
I have done a decent job at curbing my impulse to buy a Wrangler. The prospect of new colors in 2016 has helped.
