That was Patrick George, regarding the borrowed E30. Something about there being a BMW plant in South Carolina.

Really sorry the Jalopnik team didn’t have a better day. It was cool meeting Torch, Raph and Patrick though.

BMW plant is in Spartanburg, SC, which is upstate Clemson (ew) territory. They used to build the E36, Z3, and Z4 but now only build the X-series of CUVs/SUVs. In fact, they’re the only BMW plant in the world that produced the X3, X4, X5, and X6!

Yep. I visited the plant once in like 2003 while I was in the area for work. Pretty interesting place.
