You could have this thing back on the road for less than the price of a used Camry if you know how to wrench!

And every one of those is probably on Craigslist as a “Barn Find” or “Rat Rod”.
(Well, maybe not that last one. That’s just a Cockroach.)

This is why when someone in California pulls an older car with surface rust from a junkyard, turns it into a Demo car, and justifies doing so by saying “It was too rusted to save!” I want to cut off their limbs with a tetanus-infested rusted quarter panel from a car from the midwest.

There’s third gen Dodge Rams around Chicagoland rolling around with the rust reaching high up past the rear fenders already. They just CAKE the roads in road salt in most places around here that the roads turn white.

It’s interesting how you can tell the roads that haven’t been salted because they’re gray with dirty slush.

I know dem feelz bro. I grew up across the river to your left and spent a few years wrenching there before moving somewhere with a bit less salt on the roads. When I moved here I was shocked that any shop could survive without having a welder and a torch because I thought that type of rust was normal everywhere.

Gah! Screw Ford’s aluminum body panels, what do we need to do to get them to build the whole thing from aluminum?
My car lived in upstate NY for a decade, but thankfully has mostly just surface rust.
