Had a super fun time at a car show this morning with a bunch of friends.
Then around 5 hours later, I found out that one of those friends’ R32 GTR was destroyed while he was heading back home by a driver who ran a red light. Fortunately, the owner is fine, but the car is a goner.

Wow, that stinks. It always bothers me when a super cool car is taken out by a negligent driver. I was instantly reminded of this:
Dodge Dart runs red light, hits the greatest car ever made. Of course, the Dodge has minor damage while the million dollar exotic is totaled.

Isn’t that the F40 that the Ass monkeys rebuilt?

A bittersweet end to what seems to be like an awesome day.

No, their rebuild was an improvement.
The one in the crash was stock.

Oh I agree it was an improvement. Its Rawlings I have a problem with, but his mechanics know how to build a nice car.

Bingo.

TO THE DEATH.
LooK at that yawning chasm where an engine should be.

I hate when a car dies due to negligence.

Don't think so.

What is the consensus on the quality of their frame repair job. Ferrari always wants to get it back and repair it themselves but how does GMG’s repair stand up?

Oh, they didn’t rebuild the crashed car. They restored a barn find, I think. To be honest, it would be insanely difficult for a (relatively) small-time shop like that to repair a monocoque chassis. I wouldn’t trust it, unless it was repaired by Ferrari or a professional race shop (like Dallara, who are about 15 minutes from my house)

That's a bummer. What did you think about the show? I found the parking lot to be more impressive than the show itself.

It was great. So many people to see haha! My friend brought his R34 and parked in the regular lot after finding out it was $35 for the actual show haha.

Yeah there was no point to really park in the show when the spectator lot was literally divided by a few feet and little cones.
