Used my dad’s ancient tub of zeperfex. Turned out well. Bumpers are no longer faded along with the trunk and rear quarters looking much better. Now I just need some wheels that aren’t nasty. In person it looks like a car from a 90s movie or tv show. So shinny.

Edit: Damn these pictures turned out badly. I’ll get some good ones later today on the parkway.

What is the 5 like to drive? I can’t help but notice these are supremely cheap now.

Great cruisers and can be composed on the twists (able to do the Blue Ridge parkway at the speed limit through most curves) and US 221 (Parkway Intermediate level) without falling off a mountain. The 2.5 M50 is more reliable and economical than fast but it still can push you back in your seat. It’s a big car. You’ll be disappointed if you expect it to drive like an e30. Body roll feels greater than it actually is because of the non bolstered seats, which are very comfortable.

It’s a car that can eat highway miles (30 mpg if you try for it) but also do curves once you get to your destination. And their a great value right now.

Looks great, although that black trim will drive you crazy, it needs some 303, then get some stoners and rainx on the glass, and tire dressing...

haha welcome to detailers hell..

Rain-Xed the glass about an hour ago. The trim isn’t as bad as it looks in the pictures. It’s actually black and non of it’s cracked, which is more than can be said about my brother’s Saab wagon which has grey cracked body trim.

Thanks! The fading was really bothering me for a while and I’m glad it evened out well. This means I don’t need to repaint the bumpers.

Solid colours are prone to fading/oxidation as there is not clear coat acting as a UV barrier. You can buy UV protecting shampoos (such as Gtechniq UVwash, it also has antistatic properties which repel dust build up, I’ve used it for three years on some cars in summer months) for when waxing or sealing isn’t an available option.

You’ve done all the hard work now, just to keep on top of it.
