Ok, well, it was a little while ago but I haven’t gotten around to getting a decent photo until recently. But anyways, here it is. A 1997 BMW E36 M3. Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with a black leather interior and best of all, a 5 speed manual. Modifications by the previous owner include a Dinan Stage 2 tune and CAI, Remus exhaust and a few minor aesthetic pieces. Originally I had planned on finding an E28 or E30, but when the opportunity arose to buy my friends E36, I couldn’t pass up the deal. The car still needs a few modifications, but overall I’m satisfied with how it performs. Plus it doesn’t look too bad parked next to my father’s E46 M3...

NIIIICE! I had a Remus exhaust in my 95 M3. Awesome car buddy!

Awesome! Congrats on the purchase and keep us posted on it! The world can never get enough E36 M3.

This spoiler is so much better than the wing originally offered.

Thanks! Love the exhaust so far, sounds nice but not too loud.

Damn, that’s a high bar to set for a first car. Congrats!

And then there were two.

Are those the same wheels in both pictures?

I got it for that reason. Induction from CAI > Exhaust

First picture is what’s on the car now, second is with the wheels I bought the car with. Temporary until I can find a set of wheels I like.

Ah I see, either way it looks great!

Just go gently at the beginning and get used to the dynamics. It should be a lot of fun.

Sweet! *high fives*

Nice, there are certainly worse ways to start off your car history!

That’s a right fine whip you got there, young ‘un!

Nice! That looks great. I’ve never seen one with a ducktail, I like it!
Is it lowered? It sits perfectly with those wheels.

Jesus that looks good, man

Wing so fine you can iron your clothes on it.

And suddenly there are two people with Arctic Silver over black E36 M3 Sedans for first cars. Yours looks a helluva lot better than mine did when I got it though, and has the right transmission. Congrats and don’t wrap it around a tree please!
Oh, and don’t be surprised if your headlights and driver door trim go missing ;)

Woo! Congratufreakinglations! Beautiful car! And now you and Logansteno are twinning!

I’m jealous. I used to have an E46 330. I bought it over an E36 M3 thinking I would never notice the 20 hp deficit.
But then I rode in an E36 M3 and was floored by how much better the engine was. The way it revved, the way it sounded. It had a completely different personality to my 330.
Again, I'm jealous!

Firstly, congrats and thoroughly enjoy it.
Secondly, super jealous you found a manual sedan. I really wanted an E36 but couldn't find a clean car here in New England.

Better than Logan’s.

Gee, thanks.

I absolutely love it, that’s a helluva first car! Maybe best, though I’m biased. I have an e60 m5 and wife has an e93 m3. Steel yourself for a million stupid turn signal jokes...

Congrats. Looks real good. Enjoy it. Track it.

Thank you! Currently has stock suspension but I’ll be going a little bit lower with coils soon...because track days.

Very, very nice.
I like those wheels but with BMW’s huge wheel catalogue, personally I’d want the OEM look.
