So today it was 95° in Houston. Luckily, it wasn’t too hot, but it’s October. OCTOBER. WTF, OCTOBER? Are you DRUNK?!
Fall MY ASS!!

65 degrees where I am and it’s wonderful.
![]() 10/13/2015 at 17:11 |

It was 98 in Austin yesterday. And Bastrop County is
on fire again
. This is getting ridiculous.

Why do I always read your name as “ Pate Batman ?”
![]() 10/13/2015 at 17:13 |

Yeah, it’s running 10 degrees warmer than normal here too. Of course we’re talking 70 instead of 60.

AGAIN?! If we can all hold out until next Thursday (“major” cold front will hit then), we’ll be okay, but...
AGAIN?!

70 in Texas is quite comfortable. 60 is jacket weather, though.

Seriously though, what the hell. Sweating stops when the leaves drop. IT’S A VERDANT GREEN HELLSCAPE OUT THERE. SUMMER LASTS FOREVER.

That's rude. Share your weather. NOW.

Smithville, not again! Damn fires
![]() 10/13/2015 at 17:17 |

I’m just excited because it’s the first time it’s been really nice this year.

There was a NWS warning today for high, dry winds that would increase the fire danger. I’ve got to wonder if there isn’t an arsonist at work out there. The fires a few years ago were caused by high winds knocking down power lines. No winds that strong today, but no word on what caused the fires.

I was up in Wimberley yesterday at the river swimming and fishing lol.

I’m lying of course. It’s 83

I laughed the other day when I went to Target and saw all the winter coats they had on sale. It’s all about layers around here.

47 in the morning, 75 in the afternoon. Thank you Alabama!

From my experience as a brush firefighter in the Austin area, it’s probably one of two things:
1. Cigarette butt that got lodged into some dry leaves, or
B. Someone burning a pile of leaves/BBQ pit.
If it was July, the third option of “Fireworks” would be listed.

If my gigantic balls of steel start a-sweatin’, they’ll rust.
Think.
Of.
My.

Ever been to Jacob’s Well? A family friend used to own the property, I would go swimming there (well before it was a State Park).
I was about five at the time, for (additional) full disclosure.

I live in SoCal, I’ve gone through the same kind of weather for the past days, and I hate every minute of it. At least your state has water.

Now you're lying to get out of sharing your weather.

In other words, people being stupid.
![]() 10/13/2015 at 17:26 |

Seriously, I'll take wearing jackets and coats when it's below fifty. As long as it means we don't get piled on by snow storms.

Here.

I hope A&M beats you this weekend.

We tried going in the summer but it was way too busy. Yesterday we just went to Wimberley to swim (in a 2 piece not a no-piece lol) then to another place a friend of ours know to fish. Nothing but little catfish, no keepers. All the good place are getting to busy.
![]() 10/13/2015 at 17:29 |

Oh don’t worry, I hope they do too.

21% humidity?! Where is Birmingham? Death Valley?!
![]() 10/13/2015 at 17:33 |

It is never that low. I think hell has frozen over. And now it’s dry here. And i love it.
![]() 10/13/2015 at 17:35 |

We are still in the high 70s low 80s here the portland oregon area. Should be 50s and soaking wet by now
![]() 10/13/2015 at 17:37 |

I’m just waiting for the weather to get cool enough to go sit around at nearby Salt Lick. Dear God DAT SAUCE.
You can find some fun places to swim near there. Of course, it's still not Gruene.
![]() 10/13/2015 at 17:39 |
|
I don't think it's been 21% humidity in Houston since man kept historical records.
![]() 10/13/2015 at 17:40 |

It’s supposed to be around 60 tonight, which is INSANE. 35° swings in temperatures don’t happen like that here.
Tomorrow will be back up in the 90s.
![]() 10/13/2015 at 17:40 |
|
If you subtract 20 from 83, it’s almost 65. My computer was just acting weird.
![]() 10/13/2015 at 17:47 |

There is a gift shop there that is my 100% most favorite store ever. It’s like a little house. OMG I love that store. I used to beg my mom to buy me things there all the time. I haven’t been in forever but as soon as I get my license, that will be my first stop.
![]() 10/13/2015 at 17:51 |

It was 95 here on CA’s central coast yesterday, 90 today. That shit’s not right.

Gruene is nice. Once you get into college, it’ll get turned up to 11. Gruene Hall, Guadalupe tubing trips... You'll have fun.

I mentioned to some people last week that this might be another “sweaty Halloween”. They laughed at the notion.
They aren't laughing anymore.
![]() 10/13/2015 at 18:06 |

Yeah we're getting those huge swings too, down the low 40s at night so a 30-40 degree swing. Also unheard of for around here
![]() 10/13/2015 at 18:16 |
|
I like tubing at Comal. Even there the water is ice cold. I don’t stop shivering until about half way through lol. Hard to get good sun under the shade of the trees.
![]() 10/13/2015 at 18:24 |
|
The Comal is the more family friendly tubing area. The Guadalupe is... Well, don’t go down the Guadalupe for a few years. Trust me.
![]() 10/13/2015 at 18:35 |

Lol I’ll take your word for it :)
![]() 10/13/2015 at 20:48 |

I’ll be in Austin next week for a wedding. I guess I’ll dress much warmer than I have been here in northern Vermont...
![]() 10/13/2015 at 20:48 |
|
Yeah, WTF? It hit 68 here in Vermont. Though Mt. Washington already has its snowcap.
![]() 10/13/2015 at 21:26 |

Yeah, just a tad warmer. It’ll probably still be in the mid-80s.
