World Record Attempt! In a Roundabout.

At 9am this Tuesday morning I’ll be headed into my local roundabout for 3 hours of circling in an attempt to set a world record. Making this even more daring I’ll be driving my project car/daily driver, a ‘87 VW Cabriolet complete with Frankenmotor, a funky clutch, leaky powersteering rack and more than my share of Indiana-induced rust.

Why? Because. We’ll be doing in-car interviews with various local celebrities who’ll ride along as I do this. All we be taped and eventually posted for all to see. We’re tracking the attempt by continuous video recording and GPS tracking.

Will one tank of gas will be enough?? Do you plan on going as fast as possible to do as many lap as you can or take it more relaxed and just wait until time runs out?

Maybe it’s one of those two lane roundabouts that has an inner lane for people not getting out yet and an outter lane for getting in/out of the roundabout.

Simply circled at normal traffic speed. Mileage is really good , less than a quarter tank for the whole ride.
