Boueyd with confidence after seeing !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! post about quality time in the garage with his daughter, I invited my nearly three year old daughter out to the garage with me while I worked on sealing and winterizing the camper.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I’ve tried this in the past, but she wasn’t ready. Yesterday, however, was a rousing success! I didn’t have anything she could “help” me with, but she spent nearly an hour and a half grabbing a tool from my toolbox. She would then walk around the garage “fixing” things. Amazingly, every tool got put back in the right drawer without me even telling her to do that.

Best day at work ever :)

I’m still working on putting tools back where they belong with my 12 and 5 year olds haha!

That’s awesome, My daughters sometimes help around the garage, but mostly they just like to play in the car while I work. Mine are 2 and 4, 3 is the perfect little girl age. Talking and inquisitive, but not sassy.

Oh, she can be pretty sassy sometimes :)

She also loves to “drive” my truck.

I try to get the kids involved when I work on or wash our vehicles, but it can be a challenge. We don’t have a garage, just a yard, so tool control is a bit of a preoccupation.

Ha! I’m sure that they won’t always be put back. Her toys are all over the damn place!

They don’t have a fun red cabinet to hold them all in.

Yeah, that can be tough, but it’s a worthy cause!

Nice work sir!

My son will be 3 in just a few months, he’s not quite ready for a garage day, but he does like to join in for small bouts to fix his stuff. Lawn mower and little tikes pickup get the most work haha

Yhank you!

She didn’t last all day by any means. After an hour and a half, she wanted to go inside for water and a snack. I finished on my own later :)

Yesterday, not such a hurricane. While that is an attractive going to the park outfit, shop coveralls (with appropriate STP, Moog, Edelbrock, Holley, JEGS.com, etc) patches should be under the Christmas tree.

With a soon to be 21 year old daughter, the toys, clothing, cosmetics, etc. will never be put away. I just shut the door........and sigh.

yesterday i was putting my cargo trailer up on blocks, I turn around and my 19 month old daughter brought me a screw driver and a wrench. Normally she takes a screw driver and tries to turn everything, walls, floors, tires, chairs....

in the past months she saw me install drywall in our house.
