Doesn’t affect the 3.0 TDI.

Touareg TDIs are awesome. My grandfather lives in Europe and he has one in full unicorn spec. 3.0 TDI, 6-speed manual, cloth seats, and navigation. Fantastic car.

Right, IIRC, SUVs can get away with higher emissions.

No, no they can’t. SUVs are still passenger vehicles and need to meet the same emission standards as cars.

The Touareg has DEF/AdBlue system, unlike the smaller 2.0L diesels that don’t

Might not live in a county that requires emission testing.
Moreso; the cars were able to pass emission testing before we knew about the EPA cheat; why does anyone think that'll change? I find it unlikely inspection stations or even most states will be on the lookout for the few TDI cars out there.

..how?
the 3.0L isnt affected, and it would still be ‘sippin diesel’

I have no idea what engine is in this. Im not a big VW fan so i know little about their lineup. Only saw VW, Diesel, and vanity plate and found it funny.

What’s funny is he is still getting 10-15 mpg better than your truck and can tow the same.
Not to say what you drive isn’t a great truck, but don’t knock all diesels.
I own a 3.0 TDI Audi Q5 so I’m a bit tired of all the diesel banging :)

Thanks! glad I’ve finally been able to meet a genius, even though only on the internet. My life is now complete.
