The 3.5 plug folds into the back. There’s a clip on the back to secure it to your clothing. There are two buttons on the back that are marked ‘+’ and ‘set’. The markings say 2012 EB Sport Group and the usual made in China.
It was marked $6.50, but because of the day and color of the tag it only set me back $0.50, just like like the Blackberry 9530 I picked up to use as an MP3 player.
What the heck is it?

I was hoping that plug was for audio, and that it might be some sort of Bluetooth adapter, but upon further examination it appears to be some sort of fancy pedometer. EB Sport owns a bunch of exercise equipment brands, so it all makes sense. I actually found a spare battery and fired this thing up, and it has all sorts of modes like steps, miles, cal, act.tmr, min/mi, fat g, chrono, sync. I guess the plug is for syncing it with I don’t know what.
I’ll add it to the collection of pedometers I have laying around that I’ve been meaning to sell on eBay and just continue to use the one built into my iPod nano.

Upon further research it appears that the plug is for connecting to an app on a smartphone. Interesting. SyncElite All-Day Activity Tracker. $3 on Amazon. So much for finding an awesome deal. If I take out the battery I’ve probably dropped the value in half. Oh well.
