It feel so good and such a burden relieved. I want to build a toyota truck a budget version of this Navistar.

Kinja'd!!!

Take an old toyota add a 4BT or something. 4link rear end solid front axle. lots of delicious lockers. hefty suspension gear and smallish off road tires. Also some kind of tight fitting roll cage and frame reinforcements. steel wheels. couple of bright lights. slid plates. white paint and some old school graphics.

This could be built really cheap.

Or something more expensive.

Congrats!

Is she in remission, or completely clear?

That’s great news! I hope it stays that way.

As for the Navistar, it (and most off road race trucks) has an IFS, not a solid front axle. It’s probably better to keep it that way unless you want to go rock crawling.

Awesome news!

If you really want to build something that sounds angry, build it with a Screaming Jimmy.

Like a Detroit Diesel 3-53 powered Jeep!

It was uterine cancer caught early and removed so I think completely clear. It was very hard to wait and see if it had possibly spread to other areas especially lymph nodes where it could spread all over the body.

yeah but welding tubes to make links is so much easier than building a high travel a arm setup at least AFAIK.

Glad to hear it fella. Hope your mum is making a full recovery and back to full fitness.

My step-brother was given the all clear last month, sent to a cancer specialist hospital to confirm everything and found it had actually spread elsewhere. He hasn’t taken too well to treatment at all and several times he’s had to be blue lighted into hospital and now they want to put him in a chemical induced coma and bombard his body with treatment. Fingers crossed it’ll all come out okay.

So for your mum to be over all this I bet she’s very glad it’s over.

Just keep up with the check ups.

First things first, fuck cancer.

Now time for jokes about Toyota trucks.

Join IS I think that hilux are standard issued equipment.

It’s not hard. There are tons of prerunner style Toyotas. There are probably off the shelf kits that will let you do what you want to do relatively easily.

yeah. I just want a really rugged truck to drive everyday and do some jumps and be a sorta sleeper off roader. I saw on extreme offroad on power network how easy it was to swap to a solid axle and build a 4 link rear. I got welders.

That is perfectly doable, but if you want to do jumps and stuff (google Ivan Stewart’s Toyota race truck) you should consider IFS like this kit : http://www.chaosfab.com/86-95-4WD-Pick…
