Over the past ten years, I’ve been lucky enough to have owned all three generations of the MR2 at different times. All three have been naturally aspirated, but that hasn’t affected the underlying character of the cars: the Mk2 was a solid grand tourer, the Mk3 an exuberant plaything, and the Mk1 a raw sporting machine.
I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Your turn, Oppo; what are your MR2 memories?

Ah, man. You’re making me miss mine. If I had a garage, I’d have kept it forever.

I’ve had my supercharged MK1 for 7 years and absolutely adore it. Daily driving (year round!) and weekend autocrossing.

I’ve had my 85 for about 3 years now. Its one of the most exciting, most communicative, and most fun to drive cars I’ve ever driven. I also swapped in a 20v Blacktop 4AGE into her so she’s got a little extra oomph.

Perfect weather, 30ºC, clear skies. Tops out, get a frozen coke/slurpee like an idiot because you remember no cupholders. Driving down ocean roads, unable to hear the radio, passengers, anything for several hours after because goddamn that wind noise.
Still get out of the car with a massive smile on my face.
