I've been looking for a Honda Accord Aerodeck since forever. These are very rare, due to low sales, perceived disposability of Japanese vehicles but mostly due to rust. I finally find one, an almost rust free low mileage one even, and it's severely molested . !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for €505 with almost 4 days to go.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Repainted in Ferrari red, swapped 2.0 Prelude engine of almost 150 hp, cheesy mirrors with BMW e36 M3 look, racing seats, wheels that are too large, lowered extensively. Ugh.

Dooo it man. We need more old japanese cars here.

Hell no, not in that condition.

That colour actually looks really great. The bargain basement seats and massive wheels... not so much.

Ricers man, they ruin everything and why we can't have nice things. Now couldn't you buy it, pull the engine, sell the engine and the wheels. Then use that money to fund de-ricing it?
Or is the market for a near stock Aerodeck not that great?

Agreed. I could live with the color, assuming the respray has been done well. The rest of the modifications are horrible.

There's no market at all. When you search the entire continent you'll find a few, tops. I'm not really interested in doing that much work myself.

Gotcha, pity though.

It might be a savable car if it was cheap enough and there wasn't any underside damage from running so low. New shocks and springs, junkyard seats and wheel it could look decent. I'd imagine it's been thrashed and has other damage though.

other than the mirrors, I like it. I mean the color isn't that bad, and everything else is either easily changeable or an actual improvement, like up grading the engine. And I really like the other set of rims it's pictured with.

Okay, you can probably tell Honda that it needs to be restored and if they're still cool I see a factory restoration right there. They are probably well aware of the rarity of Aerodecks.

Whatever bro. It looks nice and appears that the previous owner really enjoyed making it his own.

Unfortunately, this engine swap means no historic plates in 4 years. They should have tarted up a normal Prelude instead.

Is that like a 3 season, or collector plate? Here most states have so that when a car is 20 or 25 years old you can get plates that you don't have to renew every year, but you can't drive the car from October to March.

For historic plates the car has to be 30 years or older, and in good original condition or with period correct modifications. These modifications sre nowhere near period correct, though. These plates end in an "H" and this means that road tax and insurance are next to nothing while you can drive the car whenever or as often as you want.

Oh well that would certainly be nice.

That's wonderful!

I don't see what's wrong with it.

I think they sold them in Canada, I have wanted one as well for a commuter car, swap in an Acura motor etc if it has high miles. I couldn't have those rims in SF, need some more rubber.

For 500 Euros, go for it.
