I'm not a fan of fender skirts on pickups.

no one should be.

man that truck must be getting at least 12 or 13 mpg now.

I know it's just the angle of the picture, but with the fender skirts that makes that truck look like it has a ten foot bed!

I hear that his mpg can get into the double digits on the highway now.

For sure.

I'm the worst part is that the belt trim doesn't continue over the skirt

I guess they are pickups, so yes I do have exceptions........most definitely!

That pickup looks like it's really used for, you know, work, and not just hauling fat people around. America.

FWIW, I don't think they're outright bad on separate bed trucks either, if they're old enough, but the lines of the vehicle have to be conducive to it. One reason the above Chevy is a marginal case - unlike the 'cheros, it doesn't have a car-based styling with the rear wheel wells minimized into a sweep of the tail. The modern Chevy in your main post: huge wheel well (no), blocky non-tapered styling (no, no), a skirt which doesn't match *or* accentuate the lines of the car (no no no), and finally, the modern shape which has a rubber strip that doesn't continue on the skirt, thus saying HAI GUIZ THARS WHELE HEER (GTFAC).

I still don't care for them on trucks.

Right - I'm just saying that there are three degrees of them on trucks: on trucks that are really cars (ok), trucks that are old and kind of styled like cars (meh) and modern trucks on which they barely even fit (KILL IT WITH FIRE).

I agree with that. You said it well.

Don't know if I should laugh or cry.

Let me guess - the owner always wanted a Pontiac Parisienne, but also wanted something with much less passenger space but much more trunk space, so this was the compromise.

Could be worse, could be cardboard or plywood.
