Hilarious and fucked up at the same time. I feel like it took some cojones to make that movie. So does anyone know if Seth Rogan and James Franco have mysteriously gone missing yet?

I heard nothing on that front. I'm sure they're still around.

"Firework" made that movie. The rest was great, but the song was just perfect for the movie.

Watched it on Day 1. My thoughts: it could have been a much better movie. With a comedy, there should be more laughs in Act 3 than in Act 1. It sort of fell off a cliff. Lizzy Caplan was the best thing about it, at least to me.

The first 1/3 was pretty much one laugh after another, but I agree that it really did start to drag after that. Not a great movie by any stretch, but I am glad that they made it.
It's just too bad all the controversy ruined Steve Carell's Pyongyang project.

Funny thing is I'm watching it now.

Agreed. And more Mohammad cartoons. Piss off the dictators and those who would repress everyone.

I appreciated the serious turn in the latter part of the movie. They really took some shots at North Korea, and also the media.
Also, the climax/death scene was great.

I agree, but at the same time I appreciated the serious turn at the end.

We need more satire. I just hope that it doesn't come along with Charlie Hebdo style retribution.

Couldn't stop laughing when it started playing at the battle scene.

How did this movie go from being taken down 1 week prior to premiering in theaters to being put on Netflix ~4 weeks later? That's both insane and fantastic.

This North Korea, not the Sinaloa cartel. It took few cajones. James Franco probably has more money than the whole country.

The fact that it was an acoustic version made it even better!

We watched it last night. Seth Rogen was ok, but Franco was the worst. I love a good dumb comedy, but I got nothing out of this. Rogen's love interest was pretty cute, though.

I'm a terrible judge of performances and expect them to be bad in a movie like this. But I do agree with you on the love interest.

Oh please Kim-Jon Uuunngg loves the attention more than he loves watching Rodman put on a live sex show with his Russian hookers.
