The new Charger R/T with an AutoStick engine and a Leather Wrapped Steering wheel transmission. Stay safe with a 5.7l Hemi as optional safety equipment.
Or bump up to the R/T ROAD & TRACK with A/C as a safety feature and a 8.4 inch Touchscreen transmission.

This is the best.

Still can't be bought with a manual? Still don't care about this car...
Which sucks, because I really want/ like this car but it doesn't come with the right transmission!

Evasive procedures are easier with more power, that is how it is a safety feature.

Doesn't R/T stand for Road & Track?

Pair it with a Cobb short shifter and a Stage 2 tune and it could save your life.

IIRC, fitting a manual trans to the Charger would involve enough modifications to the tunnel and firewall that they'd have to recertify the chassis on a Federal level to meet crash standards and such.
The cost of recertifying it was deemed too excessive to justify it. Especially with the Challenger having a manual and 2 doors while sharing most of the same platform.

The key thing is to have a Cobb short shifter though. It saves lives.

I remember the reasoning (and yours sounds exactly right). It just doesn't change my opinion or stance on the car - Heartbreak.

"It got four on the floor, I take it?"
"Heated steering wheel, mate."
