According to a report by HoresepowerKings, the new GT350R blitzed the 'Ring on 7:32.19, more than 5 seconds quicker than the Camaro Z/28's time of 7:37.40.

That puts it almost perfectly in line with what GM said the Z/28 could do if it didn't rain near the end of their lap. This is going to be an interesting battle.

I'm just saying, this is the same site that falsely reported the demise of the Ford V8, specs of the GT and GT350. And most likely the GT500.

Also notice how no other site has published this, take it with a grain of salt. This site is full of click bait.

HorsepowerKings just posted an on-board video of the GT350R running at the 'Ring - time was 7:32.19, but the car was sliding around quite a bit, looked like the track was wet.

Can't wait to see these two go head to head. If we get anything like the Z/28 launch where people get to bring whatever they want I would love to see The GT350R vs The Z/28 vs Jack Olsen driving his 911 at Willow Springs.

Yes, I have seen the Z/28 lap on YouTube. The GT350R lap look much more slick, like they were waiting for hours for the rain to stop or something. Of course not a surprise, it rains quite often at the 'Ring. Car looked fast and sounded great as well, but sounds unique.

Im actually more curious why the video went down. I am seeing that several people saw the video on HPK, but they aren't showing it anymore. Very Interesting.

Well I haven't seen the video so I can't argue one cars lap vs the other but even if it clobbers the Z/28 it just gives me hope for a bigger badder 6th gen Z/28 hopefully earlier in this generation than it was in the 5th.
