I don't know why I miss this car. The 14 is better in just about every way.

Well my dad actually picked the silver over an identical red 5.0 the dealer had. He was set on red because he had an old fox body in red. But for some reason he really liked the silver and picked it up. Then a few months later he regretted it and started looking at Boss', Roush's and other stuff. It took him a long time to decide what he was going to get next. But ya, I kind of fell in love when I saw the 2015 in silver. It just fit the car so well and showed off those lines.

I haven't driven a 15 yet. Or my dad's 14. He keeps saying he wants me to but we never get to it. Although I'm not sure I want to drive it. I'll go from wanting a few suspension parts to trying to extract every bit of power from my car!

Well, the Vikings were purported to have used Amanita Muscaria to induce their berserker rages, so it does kind of make sense.

I'm still trying to figure out which type of flower produces pyrokinesis though.

Or just wanting a new car in general..

Since I'm still not sure if I want to go V6, GT, or even wait for GT EB V6, if 2016 is the last year for the 3.7L and they introduce Grabber Blue or Green, I'm getting it no matter what.

You know every time I'm in my Mom's car, the 5.0, or even some really luxurious car I always think of how nice it is and how they're an enormous step up from my car. But I kind of enjoy the simplicity and rawness of my car.

Have you ever thought about getting a used S197? Ya, I know it's not brand new and you may not be able to get everything you want on it but you can save a lot of money. It's a lot of car and engine with a GT. Imagine a grabber blue or GHIG 13/14 5.0 with a six speed. And the V6 is still (Mostly) the same engine as the 15. It makes as much power as my car and I hear great things about it.

Just a thought. My only concern with a GT would be insurance. A V6 wouldn't be as bad. The EB is a turbo so I'm not sure that would go well.

Either way you can't go wrong.

You're not gonna believe this, but I have considered a used S197 recently. Because I'm actually questioning if the S550 is what I truly want out of an American sports car.

I want unrefined, raw, and ultimate feel, at least as much as possible on that last requirement; and I want that all in an athletic, sexy, wide and low package. The S550 covers everything in appearance inside and out; The S197 would have to really prove me wrong, it's competing with a FASTBACK. I haven't had as much time around 197s as I have had around 550s(preproduction test drive, 3 LEs, and GTs).

The most(only) experience I got with a 197 was a ride in a 2011 GT in grabber blue that blue my mind away with torque that I wasn't prepared for.

The live axle is only a concern for ride comfort, but I could care less about that, all my cars have had sports suspensions and I live in Michigan with potholes everywhere and cracked roads that never end.

The interior is also kinda meh. Its alright, but if I never saw a 550, I would love it even more.

Insurance is another thing is well, but I'm on my parents policy, and all my cars have been in my dad's name, and with his clean record, that's not as much of a concern, so long as it wouldn't be astronomically more than the FoST.

But also, if I have to wait for an S197 used V6, why not wait for a used S550 V6 or GT?

Basically, it would have to take a ton of reasoning to put an S197 in my driveway. Can you do it? :p

Well, the S550 is very refined and not really raw. That said, the S197 has a fair amount of refinement to.

The S550 is very wide, low and mean. The S197's are, well aren't as wide or low. But like I said, you're saving a ton of money. You can get used 5.0 premiums for around 25K (And less!) while a new V6 15 starts at 24K. 11-14 V6's are even 15-18K. Whether it's V6 or GT you're saving some good money. Money, that could be put towards making it look better. And the S197's are just a blank slate begging to be nodded.

Look at that, much bigger difference! And there's more to do still.

There's lots of reasons for both sides. You have some great options. Just do your best to keep saving. It looks like you might have a little while (And waiting might be a smarter move). Who knows, 11-14 GT's could drop to a price point you can't pass up.

more sharp shadow/contrast -creating lines in the body. makes the silver "pop" more by showing its range

I must wait, because I've got two German cars to look after right now. :)

I make it a rule(that I try to enforce heavily) to never buy a first year car, and seeing some of the issues I'm seeing on M6G are proving my point(panel fitment issues, the EB recall, ect.) So I'm probably gonna go 2016-17 if anything, simply because I believe 2015s are beta testers and the 2016-17 could have some improvements; like that 8 or 10 speed auto with better paddles that aren't plastic, Ecoboost V6 maybe for 2017-18 refresh. Not sure but I won't be having a '15.

Ironically, '67-68 are my favorite 1st gen years, maybe that could be the case here? :p

On a side note, you can get louvers on the S550 now!! :D

Two very good looking Porsches!

Not buying a first year car is a good idea. There's been plenty of issues. It looks like there's less and less each day though. So it's getting better.

And I didn't realize louvers were available on the 15's. That actually looks pretty good.

They just released the louvers on preorder on CJPonyParts! :)

February release!

First year cars have been a no for my family for awhile now. I think the last first year car anyone got at my house was the '74 911: First year of impact bumpers and last year before emissions regulations gear was added.

Almost went with the 1st year Dodge Dart....I'm too tired to look up the stories, but I think you know.

Funny story about the Dart. When my dad was test driving a Roush Stage 3 Mustang, he saw a Dart. Smoke was blowing out of the car. He didn't see much else, but that obviously isn't good!
