aren't there laws against pedestrians on the highway? So they're breaking the law, arrest them. I'm all for peaceful protests but not when your dicking up everyone else's morning.

Also did they not realize what a vehicle doing 70mph with an inattentive driver can do to someone sitting on the highway? Christ.... It'd be a quarter mile smear.

I don't consider blocking the free travel of citizens on a public thoroughfare a peaceful act. A naval blockade is certainly an act of aggression, keeping someone from leaving a building is kidnapping. This is the same. Throw the book at them.

totally agree. If they wanted to protest from the side of the road, sure that's fine. but deliberately blocking traffic? No.

Hell there was an abortion protest on Virginia Beach Blvd of some 200 people, children, etc holding the typical propoganda. But they did it from the side of the road (though a giant picture of an aborted fetus is a pretty sketchy distraction).
