Sometimes Indonesia is so hot that the owner of 90's Mercedes or BMWs or Volvos sometimes drive with the AC off when they stuck in a traffic jam so their cars don't overheated.
I once experience the joy of driving in traffic jam with a V12 Mercedes everyday, with AC off, and after a year i had enough.

I was outside in a tshirt today. It's only -22°F, -41°F with the windchill factor.

The only time I've had overheating issues without a major coolant leak was because I froze a typical 50/50 antifreeze mixture. Since then I've run it 2:1.
Did you know that in a properly charged a/c system, the pressure will have dropped far enough to trigger the low-pressure safety switches at around 45°F? Meaning it's practically impossible to use a/c for most of the year here.

I get that problem in Hong Kong during the summer. When I go home from school, I always get stuck on a traffic jam going uphill. So the A/C is off but the fan is on max to try and evacuate some heat from the engine bay. Sometimes, we need to open the bonnet too.

Had a cooling problem in my old Jetta - hoses - but needed to roll with the heater full on and fan on high in order to keep it within operating temp (in the summer.)
Thank god for front vent wing windows at the time. (Also handy for when you need to break into something and you've left a blind nut on it to make it easy.)

Thise European ACs don't do much anyways. It can get up to 120F here in the summer. My wife newer BMW is just barely adequate.

91F is considered cold in my town. IT's normally could easily break 100F everyday.
