Well, I tried applying what I'd learned from my introductory CAD class by designing a car in PTC Creo 2.0, but I wasn't really going for anything in particular. I should've just stopped at the wheels, LOL.

I really ought to use some CAD-like software. Usually, if I need to model something I'll use Maya, which is really more for rendering movies and whatnot than it is for designing stuff.
Are there any free CAD-like programs out there?

I had that in mind when I decided to just stop caring and make it look goofy. I spent hours upon hours playing the games on the Chevron Cars website when I was a kid.

Yeah, I tried to change it to a black color - I think I may have actually selected a pattern, thus the odd look.

THIS IS WHY THE EYES GO IN THE WINDSHIELD, TORCH.
Dear God, that is the face of a car that does not show mercy.
It's like Richard C. Mongler died and was rein-car-nated.

Creo 2.0 is free, though you'll be asked to fill out a bunch of stuff; it also seems to be somewhat decontented compared to the Creo 3.0 that my university has. There's an AutoCAD 360 Chrome extension and Android app, but I've never used them.

Hmm, good to know. I might have to give it a shot.

The "student" version of Autodesk inventor 2015 is also available for "free," I think it is a 3 year license.

I've been doing CAD for about a decade now... please believe, my first projects were shit. Just stick with it, keep playing around.

I use Draftsight for 2D stuff and it's served me well through years of studying architecture. :) It does have its problems, but it's free, so there's that. You don't need to buy a new version every year and it can open the most recent Autocad generated DWG files.

There's also a professional version, but I find this does fine for simple drafting.

that one on the bottom looks like a British clay-mation version of an old 300C.
