It's a snug fit but I got it in there without even needing to move anything. I will clean out that spot eventually so there is nothing for me to hit. I have about 3 feet in total allowance. Looks like the work bench won't be going on that side.

I like that you went from a fairly small car to a land yacht.

Nice Lincoln, my uncle had one when I was little. I barely remember it.

My whole family drove/still drives Lincolns. I somehow drive one too, I like to think I'm different though.

I've always been a Lincoln fan and now I have my very own classic Lincoln. FEELS AWESOME!!!

What do you have for a lincoln?

It's the only logical progression.

Remember the Mazda was given to me I did not choose it. but I do agree it's quite the jump. I might fix this one up and flip it then buy something a bit more in between the two.

How many bodies fit in that trunk?

Actually I don't know I haven't opened the trunk yet. For all I know there is some in there already.

"3 feet"

"Snug"

Man you should have seen the garage in the house I grew up in. There was maybe a foot or so of clearance on both sides, and only a few inches at the front and rear.

When we had two cars - only the driver side was accessible on the second car.

LS, soon to part with. Hopefully can resist the urge to progress to an MKS.

Good thing I built the garage as big as allowed by the city.

Mazel Tov! Where in France are you? I'm a US expat in Belgium and I have a lot of US tools that you can borrow.

What needs fixing?

What are your plans for it?

I'm in Canada. That is the Acadian Flag is the same as the french flag except it has a yellow star in the blue part.

The main thing is fix a rust patch in the passenger side rear door jam, I need to fix the windshield wiper switch, then buff the paint. The car doesn't need much to be honest. As for what my plans are for it I'm not exactly sure at the moment. The car is all original so I might want to keep it that way.

If you haven't seen it yet.

So...I just did a little Googling, because I wanted to understand how long your car is. First I looked up my own Jaguar, which clocks in at 199.6 inches. or about 16 feet 8 inches. Your car is 233 inches, or 19 feet and about 6 inches.

The Lincoln is nearly THREE FEET longer than my long ass Jaguar. That is a big God damn car you've got there.

surprisingly it doesn't feel THAT huge when you are driving it considering it was the biggest car you could buy in 1979 I would of expected it to feel even bigger than it does.

Definitely no workbench on that side, but there is plenty of room to work on the car.

once it warms up enough to totally unfreeze the car the work will begin. I need to do a little bit of rust repair. I hope to have the car all cleaned up before spring time.

Uhm.. I'm only asking because, well, I'm old. But are you gonna hang the tennis ball on a string from the ceiling to bump against the windshield as you pull in? But god that trunk space - you could always rent it out as a handball court when you weren't home.

As for work space, I think one of those wheeled tool boxes with the work top would work nice on that passenger side.
