I got unusually excited about the Saturn Ion Redline

Because Cobalt SS in slightly funkier clothing?

Other way around, the Ion came first.
One of my closest friends has an '06 Ion Redline. It's actually a fairly nice car, better than the contemporary Cobalt for sure.

That, and the Ion in general came before the Cobalt.
Saturn was really starting to come together just before the end.

They were the most powerful engines of their day, but yeah, it's surprising.
Not nearly as bad as some of the 70's stuff.
