I just got done running Suzuka in Fourza in honor of the GP this weekend and since there are no F1 cars I decided to run the R15(I know the motor above is out of the R18 but whatevs) and thought I had done well when I set a clean lap of 1:52 and decided to see what the current lap record set during a GP(or qualifying) was for shits and giggles. Well Kimi did it in 1:31.54 back in 2005. I can't even wrap my head around doing it a full 20 seconds faster. 20 FUCKING SECONDS.

Even more impressive is that the 2005 cars weren't the fastest F1 cars ever run. The 2004 cars are still the top dogs on that aspect.

Yeah remember though he's the fastest man on earth, doing it in an F1 car and he grew up driving in Finland and is seeing all of this in 3D on a real track. I think you did a fine job compared to that.

ahhh i've spend my night hot lapping Infineon in S class cars. Might be my new favorite track. a 1:39:776 was the best I could run, in a Diabo GTR nonetheless. also came here because that picture is my desktop background, and it looks gorgeous on a 2880 x 1800 display
EDIT: this is the mercedes f1 engine, correct?

Well forza 4's tracks weren't exactly accurate especially the nurburgring.

Nope, it's the Audi R18 V12 e-tron diesel. And maybe I'll have to try that out, I kinda suck at Infineon though.

Meh. 20 seconds is an eternity...

the picture is? wow, that's crazy. for some reason i thought that mercedes was the only engine to use that two exhaust turbo thing.... you know what i'm saying.

Mhmm, Audi did it on their KERS R18's for whatever class they were running in ELMS, I can't remember.

I beat some track record on Silverstone, dont remember which game, dont remember when. ever since then, that has been my favorite track ever. for reference i am talking the old Silverstone GP track.

Silverstone is the bane of my existence... so much zero camber turns and in anything with torque it's a slide fest.

I think i set the record in a Z06 lol. torque out the ass.

I used to watch them ALL the time... I never saw that before though. I can completely see Kimi going hard in the paint with that crew.

That is true, but 20 seconds is still a huge margin. And a decently recent LMP1 car isn't THAT much slower than current F1 tech.

I felt the same way when I took my X999 Mazda 787 to the Ring and got a 6:57.

Lulz, I've beat that in a Ferrari F333 SP ;)

Oh man, Suzuka is my favorite track!
I don't like the R15 though, it's a bit too twitchy for my taste. The F1 cars is much more controllable in my opinion.

I've started liking cars that you have to be really careful with the throttle in. Like the R15, C6.R, Cinque Roadster with all the upgrades, RUF Rt 12 S... Also, I have all the assists turned off so it feels really rewarding when you manage to hold it right on the edge of wheel spin out of a corner in something like that.
