I'm in love with this color, interior color, and wheel combo on this 528i.
I need something with three rows though... *sobs internally*
I'm not even 18 and I'm being condemned to mommy-mobiles.

Oh wow, that's actually gorgeous.

It really is.
I feel like those wheels are off an E46 3-series...

The 528i I drove was the clone to that only with the honeycomb wheels.

I gotta know, why do you need three rows at 17 years old?

I'm seriously in love with the whole thing.
How was it to drive? I feel like the 2.8 just isn't enough power for the 5 to feel sporty.

.....but Bluewater Metalic

I'm not a big fan of lighter blues.
That's one of the better ones though.

Wait, wait, wait...why do you need a people-hauler?

...and you will rock the shit out of those mommy mobiles, your confidence intact. And you will suffer no fools while doing so. You will not let losers who's feeble sense of personal identity ward them away from this or that car, cowering over any and all perceived slights to their 'manhood' dictate to you what you should and should not be driving, because unlike them, you were born to win.
Roll down the boulevard in that GMC Acadia. Step out of it with the homecoming queen. And as the jocks, geeks, freaks and others point and laugh at the teenager driving the old person kidde car, point and laugh right back. Attitude determines altitude and watching as the ants below try to throw rocks at at your jumbo jet is freakin' hilarious.

Because my mom takes a bi-yearly trip to the lake of the Ozarks with her friends and they need 3-rows to fit them all. And since my parents would be paying for the car I need to conform to their needs.
So long as I can get a Tahoe and not another damn van.

The chassis and steering were phenomenal.
The 2.8 straight six was a gem. Responsive, throaty, and even w/ the auto, it had plenty of power. It felt very sporty indeed.

:c
A car's a car, though, right? I learned to drive on a minivan, myself.

Ah, I gotcha. Buying a vehicle to somebody else's specifications is never any fun.

....Dammit.
I needed you to say it was terrible... I want it even more.
I love the 2.8 in my girlfriend's dad's 328i. It's engineering bliss.

I'm not even sure these have three rows but.

Don't worry, I can say it's terrible, because I just saw the odometer.
Run.

honestly? if its just twice a year, why dont they rent something?
no use paying for the fuel for such a monster if you only really need it twice a year.
and if they still stick to that, try your hand at a Mazda 5. its still a minivan, but its based off of the mazda 3, so it actually handles pretty well. AND you can find it in a manual!

That's true. And I'm driving a van now. But I just want something other than another van, like my mom wants to get. She just likes the Astro/Safari too much.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:52 |

Their only specification is 3-rows, so I want a Tahoe or something SUV-ish.
Problem is, they want another Safari. Ack.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:53 |

I think it was an option on later ones. Not sure if it was offered on gen 1.

Is it wrong that a high odometer reading doesn't turn me away from cars?
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:55 |

Well we also use it as transport to Six Flags if we have a large group.
Let's put it this way, my parents really should've gotten an Outlook instead of a Vue.

Not at all, if you enjoy not having your money anymore.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:57 |

I don't see people or a third row fitting in that trunk.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:57 |

I've always hated those. I used to drive a flatbed, and my most towed vehicles were GMC Safari/Chevy Astros and Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute. Tahoes are nice, Ford Expedition is a really good truck too.

So long as I keep up on replacing broken parts, it'll work fine!
I don't think my parents would ever want me to have a BMW anyway.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 22:59 |
|
I would've never guessed that. Ours has been super reliable. That might be a contributing factor to wanting another one honestly.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 23:00 |
|
And therein lies the problem.
Hell, my dad won't even drive a BMW, I can believe your parents wouldn't want you in one either. You will get more "rich kid" shit in even an old BMW than you will "soccer mom" shit in a minivan.

THERE

your buddies can get their own dam cars
I kid, if thats the case, I would go for mazda 5. yukons really are HORRIFIC on fuel, not something you wanna DD as a younger person.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 23:02 |
|
This is true. Everyone who wants a "fancy" car wants a BMW.
I just want it because they're amazing to drive and luxurious. Things most GM cars in the era I'm looking didn't do.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 23:04 |
|
Would you believe me if I told you a Yukon gets better gas mileage than my Safari right now does? Because it does.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 23:33 |
|
I would, because safaris are useless.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 23:35 |
|
They aren't useless, just the Suburban would've been a better choice.

Woo! E39! I'm looking at one tomorrow and then another the next day! Hopefully I will own one by the end of the week!
